Patra Features and Description
Patra has a unique disk shape that helps it stand out. Its base and top decal have a wood grain pattern. This gives the unit a natural look and the neutral colors allow it to match nearly any aesthetic. When you are not using Patra as an aromatherapy diffuser, you can enjoy the color-changing LED light on its own. This allows you to have a fun light show in any room.
This essential oil diffuser is made from ultra-high-grade and eco-friendly materials. It uses polypropylene (PP) and Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), both of which are durable and safe. Additionally, Patra has CE and Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) certifications.
One of the most exciting features of this diffuser is that it has an LED that can produce seven different colors of light. Each of these has two possible intensities, High or Low. With or without diffusion, you can set Patra to color-changing mode or display any of the seven colors individually in the High or Low setting. This means that there are 15 total options for the colored light. There are also multiple mist settings. The timer can be set to a continuous mist or 60, 120, or 180 minutes. You can also choose between High mist, Low mist, or Intermittent mode (the diffuser releases a mist for 30 seconds then stops for 30 seconds).
How It Works
This unit uses ultrasonic diffusion. It has a small ceramic disk (atomizer) inside of the water tank. This part vibrates at 2.4MHz, which vaporizes both water molecules and essential oil. A small vent at the top of the diffuser allows the resulting fine mist to release into the air. In addition to the water vapor and oil molecules, this mist contains negative ions and can help purify your air. This is true even if you use the diffuser without essential oils as a humidifier. An ultrasonic diffuser does not use heat like some other methods for releasing the scent of essential oils. This makes it safe and easy to use.
How To Use Your Patra Oil Diffuser
Using Patra
Patra has an adapter at the bottom, so the safest way to set it up is to place it on a flat surface, remove the top portion of the unit, then pour water into the tank from a separate container. Using distilled water will keep Patra cleaner and will prolong the life of the diffuser. Do not exceed the maximum capacity, which is marked in red inside. Next, you can add essential oils. Use 2-3 drops for every 100ml in the tank, or 6-9 drops if the unit is at its full 300ml capacity. Place the cover back on. Plug the unit into the wall outlet and then press the “Mist” button at the front to turn the diffuser on.
Maintaining Your Oil Diffuser
You should clean your Patra oil diffuser regularly to make sure you can always enjoy the freshest, purest aroma from your oils. Our recommendation is to clean after 5-6 uses or every 3-5 days. Make sure the unit is unplugged and then pour out any water. Always pour away from the air outlet. Use a soft cloth or cotton swab with mild dish soap and water to clean the inside of the tank. Gently wipe down the atomizer in particular. Then thoroughly rinse with clean water. Again, always pour away from the air outlet. Do not use any alcohol or harsh cleaning products in the diffuser. This could damage Patra.
Diffuser Settings
There are three different timed settings for the mist, as well as a Continuous “ON” function. When you first turn the diffuser on, it will automatically use the 60-minute setting. To change this, press the “Mist” button again. The green indicator light will move to indicate what setting you are using. One additional press will change the timer to 120 minutes, two is 180 minutes, and three is the Continuous mist. Pressing it again after this will turn it off, or you can hold the button for two seconds to turn the mist off at any time.
Patra will automatically start in Low mist mode. If you press the “High/Low” button in the middle of the diffuser, it will change to High mist mode. You will hear two short beeps to confirm that this has been activated. Pressing the button again activates Intermittent mode and you will hear three short beeps.
The “Light” button on the left controls the lamp function of the diffuser and can be activated with or without the mist. Pressing the button once turns on the color-changing LED light. When you press it again, it pauses on whichever color was active at the time. You can keep pressing to select your desired color and brightness. Holding this button for two seconds will turn the light off.
Cautions
If you diffuse essential oils for a long period of time, it can result in overexposure. We recommend limiting your use of Patra to a few hours at once.
This aromatherapy essential oil diffuser is intended for indoor use only.
Always place Patra on a firm, flat surface. You should also keep the unit out of reach of children or pets.
For safe operation, make sure never to put anything over Patra and do not insert any objects into the mist opening. Never place the unit in any liquid or touch the diffuser with wet hands. If Patra falls into water, remove power immediately and do not touch the unit. If you notice any unusual sound or smell or if there is damage to any part of the diffuser, stop use immediately. Do not attempt to replace or repair any part of this unit.
The diffuser and cord should be kept away from combustible materials or heat.
This diffuser is only intended to be used with high-quality, natural essential oils. Using perfumes or synthetic fragrances can cause damage. Diffusing these types of chemicals can also be dangerous to your health and any products should be used only as directed.
