What the Full Starter Kit Includes

Patra Diffuser

Diffusing essential oils is one of the most popular ways to enjoy them and for the purest experience, we recommend our high-quality diffusers. The Full Starter Kit includes Patra and this oil diffuser’s sleek shape and woodgrain patterned design make it the perfect addition to your home, office, or any other space where you want to enjoy Pyurvana oils. Patra also includes 15 different lighting options, a large 300ml water capacity, and mist intensity control.

Coconut Oil

To use essential oil topically, it’s important to dilute it. This set includes two different carrier oils you can use for this purpose. Coconut oil is one of the most popular carrier oils for its excellent benefits to hair and skin. Our coconut oil is fractionated, which means we isolate specific parts of the oil so it is a liquid at room temperature. An excellent skin moisturizer, our coconut oil can provide nourishment and a smooth texture to the driest places on your body. A little goes a long way!

Jojoba Oil

Our second type of carrier oil, jojoba oil, is also an excellent moisturizer. However, it differs from coconut oil because of its richness in vitamin E, which is known for its antioxidant properties. The jojoba plant, Simmondsia chinensis, provides seeds from which we extract its oil using a cold-pressing technique. The oil is initially yellow, but subsequent refining processes transform it so it becomes colorless and odorless. Feel free to use jojoba oil on your skin or in a scent spray mixed with your favorite essential oils for a joyful sense of sweetness.

Lavender

The first of five essential oils in the Full Starter Kit, our lavender oil perfectly has a calming and relaxing scent. Need to relax and decompress? Diffuse the oil in Patra to create a stress-free atmosphere or apply it to your skin as a massage oil and take advantage of its rejuvenating properties. You can also bathe like the Ancient Romans by adding drops of our lavender oil into your bath, a practice that has been popular for over 2,500 years. Either way, our lavender oil is best when blended with other complementary scents, like lemongrass or orange, to create the most ideal experience. You may also be surprised to learn that linalool, a constituent of lavender oil, is an ingredient in several bug repellants. A gentle application of our diluted lavender oil can help protect your skin from annoying insects without the worry of damage from harmful chemicals found in other repellants.

Lemongrass

Lemongrass has a variety of purposes that can purify your life. It has been used as toner to clear pores and improve complexion, and its fresh scent amplifies feelings of energy and revitalization. This essential oil also has a prevalent history in spiritual practices. Lemongrass has been used in Hoodoo and French Creole tradition for spiritual protection, cleansing energy, purification, and luck. It easily combines with carrier oils or water in a spray to create a safer alternative to burning incense.

Orange

Originally from the peel of Citrus sinesis, our orange oil’s bright, uplifting scent is a perfect boost to your mood through its invigorating aroma. Our orange oil is extracted using a cold pressing technique, which is then separated from water in another process called centrifugation. We refrain from using heat in these processes so to preserve the oil’s natural scent. Besides aromatherapy, orange essential oil is commonly used with a carrier oil as a massage oil, warming and relaxing the skin in a pleasant combination of sensations. We recommend three drops of orange oil to one teaspoons of carrier oil as the ideal ratio.

Peppermint

Peppermint, or Mentha piperita, is one of the most widely used herbs across the globe. Primarily grown throughout Europe and North American, peppermint also has recorded use in North Africa. The plant’s soothing qualities have been used in aromatherapy as well as an ingredient in treatments for common ailments like colds, coughs, headaches, and certain digestive problems. Peppermint’s distinctive scent is thought to improve mood and energy, while also providing a sense of tranquility to reduce stress. This makes it an excellent choice to use with our diffuser, Patra, in any space where you need to be extra focused. This essential oil can also be used in your rotation of massage oils when paired with one of our carrier oils. The menthol in peppermint helps warm and comfort the skin.

Tea Tree

Tea tree oil has a rich therapeutic history. The Melaleuca alternifolia tree, discovered in Australia, produces leaves that the Bundjalung people began using as a medicine centuries ago. The Bunjalung utilized Melaleuca alternifolia as an inhalant, a poultice, and tea to treat a variety of ailments like sore throats, colds, and small superficial wounds. The plant did not become known as tea tree until the 1770s, and by the early 20th century, tea tree oil was being researched for its perceived healing properties. This research influenced tea tree oil to become a household remedy in Australia, even becoming part of medical kits during World War II. Now, tea tree oil is a common ingredient in several over-the-counter skin products, cosmetic products, soaps, and lotions. Our tea tree essential oil is recommended as a moisturizer when combined with a carrier oil or diffused for aromatherapy. Its cleansing scent promotes purity, healing, rejuvenation, and relaxation.

How to Use the Full Starter Kit

Aromatherapy

If you decide to use our essential oils for aromatherapy, you will want to begin by setting up our diffuser, Patra. On a flat surface, remove Patra’s cover and pour water into its container. Do not exceed the red maximum capacity mark shown on the inside of the container. Next, add 2-3 drops of your preferred essential oil for every 100 ml of water. Place Patra’s cover back on top and plug it into an outlet. Then, press the “Mist” button to turn on Patra. Sit back, relax, and enjoy. Remember to clean the Patra oil diffuser regularly (every 5-6 uses or 3-5 days) to enjoy its maximum benefits. Be sure to unplug Patra prior to pouring any water out and use a soft cloth with some mild dish soap to clean the inside. We do not recommend using any alcohol or harsh cleaning products as they can damage Patra.

Topical Use

For any topical use of essential oils, it is required that you dilute the oil first. This involves combining an essential oil with a carrier oil, such as our coconut oil or jojoba oil. We recommend three drops of essential oil to four teaspoons of carrier oil as the ideal ratio. This will prevent the essential oil’s natural fragrances from irritating the skin without eliminating its aroma. Everyone’s skin reacts differently, so we suggest testing the diluted oil on a small area of skin before applying more generously. For example, use a cotton swab to apply the diluted oil on the inside of your wrist. If you notice any irritation, wash the oil off and contact your doctor immediately just to be safe.

Cautions

Lavender oil and tea tree oil are not recommended for use among young boys who have not reached puberty as it can affect normal hormone levels and lead to a condition known as gynecomastia.

Orange oil can cause photosensitivity, so you should avoid exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays for up to 12 hours after topical use. Be sure to apply sunscreen or wear long sleeves if you go outside after recent use.

Essential oils should not be applied directly to the skin unless diluted with a carrier oil. Do not apply to sensitive areas like around the eyes, ears, or nose. Certain components in essential oils or related products may cause allergic reactions or affect skin sensitivity. For any adverse reaction, stop use immediately and contact your doctor immediately.

Keep out of reach of children.

If you are pregnant, nursing, or under the care of a physician, consult your health care provider before using these or any other essential oil.

These essential oils are for external use only and should not be ingested.

Pure essential oils are flammable and should be stored in a cool, dry location away from any open flames or excess heat.
